The soil from this unit [Unit D (Figure 9)] was not screened, but a representative sample of the artifacts was recovered.

Unit D was originally a 6-x-6-ft unit laid out across the area where previous work in 1966
had located what appeared to be the footing of a wall which ran east-west about 12 ft south of the present north wall of the patio (Greer 1967:5-6). Additional sections--D-l, D-2, and D-3--were added to join with Unit B.
