Indian Trade Musket

Trade musket of the pattern that was popular with Spain's Indian enemies. This specimen, an American copy of the English Northwest Company trade gun, was made H. Leman of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and has false English proof marks.It is light weight and made in caliber .56 with a 36-inch barrel. The brass tacks were added by a former Indian owner.
