SONS OF DEWITT COLONY TEXAS Two Pages from the Family Bible of Red Adam Zumwalt
Entries in the Bible appear to be at least two and maybe three different handwritings. The entries for Hester Ann and Adam McCoy (below) and maybe Mahala and John H. (above) appear to be similar to that of Adam Zumwalt Sr. on his land grant documents (below). Note the characteristic "A" and "Z" signed by Adam Zumwalt. Although the "Z" for Mahala and John H. are similar, the en "t" in Zumwalt is dissimilar and more like the other entries. Other entries are similar and could be those of wife Nancy Caton Zumwalt or another relative.
