View from the cemetery plot of Mr. Costello's home site. The cemetery is well separated from the home with a beautiful grassy hillside leading to the creek. Mr. Costello noted that recent visitors from California remarked "why would anyone want to leave this beautiful area for Texas."
In a partnership with the Kent descendants centered in Texas, Mr. Costello has obtained some early antique 20th century solid iron fencing from a demolition site in St. Louis. The fencing has been sandblasted by a special process and painted black as shown here awaiting placement around the main cemetery site. Mr. Costello has not yet decided exactly which tract area to enclose. He described plans for a stone walkway from the street to the front gate. Mr. Costello informed me that Kent descendants and parties interested in the history of the family and site are welcome to contact him for information about the progress of the restoration and a guided tour of the area.
