The Isaac Kent Farm and Cemetery, Warrenton, MO

Just north of Warrenton, Missouri north off highway 70 on highway 47, a right turn on Dogwood Dr. runs into Isaac Dr. which is a suburban residential development on what was the old Isaac Kent (father of Andrew Kent) homestead announced by the sign below.

Isaac Kent Farm Subdivision

A creek running across Isaac Dr. has been dammed to create a scenic private pond which is part of the development.  View looking left off Isaac Dr. as one enters the area.

On the right just before the pond as one enters the property of Mr. Greg Costello, prominent businessman and former mayor of Warrenton, is the Kent Cemetery.  Mr. Costello's home is to the left, the view is of the main part of the old cemetery which is a picturesque, heavily wooded area covered largely with periwinkles as ground cover.

Heart of the Kent cemetery

The area is owned and under the protection of Mr. Costello as a part of his property, it provides a serene setting for the historic site.  This path which is back and to the right of the above view leads into the cemetery.
